What Happened To Me In Thailand by TheGodofPegana

Hey everyone!

Long time no timelapse! I was busy travelling the world.
This is what I did in Thailand. Nay, this is what Thailand did to me!

I visited Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai up North, and Koh Samui down South. Of course I managed to humiliate myself in every one of these places!

Believe it or not it's been 2 weeks and I'm still sore from that nasty fall at Doi Inthanon. I've left little messages everywhere in the video, cause it's been so long since I last talked to you guys!

Until next time!

A bientôt.

*************************************************

Hey everyone!

French Youtuber Cyprien's comic book "Roger et ses humains" inspired this crossover fanart, where I imagine Roger seducing Eve, whilst a helpless Wall-E watches, teary-eyed.

Fanart that doesn't somehow renew the source material but merely copies it, is in my opinion, too unoriginal. It doesn't add anything to the table. You have to feel that there's a second artist in the artwork. So I messed with Roger's design to make it fit my tastes and give it a much more robotic feel.

Until next time!

Salut!

Mais mes belles mains font enfin un come back.

Bye.

TRANSLATION FOR MY LOVELY ANGLOPHONE VIEWERS

Hey everyone!

It's been two years since you last saw my hands in action! How does it feel to have them back? =) You can clearly tell by looking at the end result on paper, that I have not touched a pencil in a very long time. That's why I had to go digital to save the mess I'd made. Worth it though.

My last French-Youtuber fanart also dates back to 2 years ago. And now it's Jimmy's turn. The concept used here is the furthest thing from original, but at least I hope I carried it out well. As always, it was fun stalking the person's social media in order to gather enough material. There's always a point, when you're 3 years deep in someone's Facebook, where you question your life.

You will hardly fail to notice the million mistakes in Jimmy's reflection, but I don't have a PhD in reflectionology, so leave me alone. The mirror idea became all the more fitting when I discovered the guy was a Gemini!

Until next time!

Hey. How nice of you to think of me!

I started a new job a month ago and it is the most time-consuming thing I've ever had to do. I've been at my desk for 10 hours so far. And I still have to put in about 4 hours of work before I can call it a day. I wouldn't mind this so much if I still had time to draw and write but sadly I can't do any of these things. I get work-related calls till 10pm even during the week-end! I have no life anymore! To think I used to post 4 Youtube videos a month! Now I'm lucky if I can post one a month! I didn't have the time to make one last month. =(

I'm actually thinking about quitting this job because the last job I had also prevented me from making art and that got me into a depression 2 years ago.
And I have learnt my lesson! The job does pay well though and sadly we live in a world where money is essential. How would I pay the rent? Or my tablet? Or my food?

I hope your life is better than mine at the moment and that you have plenty of time to do the things you love!

See you around!

I'm so sorry to hear that :( Money is important, but it is more important to enjoy your work, or at least have few days off. What is your payment worth, when you always will complain the way you earned it? I would say if you don't like your work - definitely quit it.
Few years ago I was in the same situation, I worked for about 3 months, 9 hours a day, 7 days a week. I had no free weekends, during those months I had only few days off (which I spent sleeping all day long), I had to wake up at 5am every morning, it took me 2 hours to get to my job, I used to get back home around 7-8pm, and go to sleep around 10pm. I completely had no life, and during those months I didn't have strength or a free minute to even sketch something. It's so awful, and all the money that I earned, is long time gone and all I remember is all that awful time that I had. It is not worth it to sacrifice yourself for a job that takes away your free time. There are better jobs out there, you just have to search. I wish you best of luck, let me know how everything goes

Well, and about me, I'm still having the same job, still illustrating stuff. Recently I was contacted by another book publishing company, and we made a contract to work together. So now I'm working with two companies that publishes books :) but with that, comes more work to do, and these days were very busy.

I just really hope you will be ok, not having the right job, especially the one that takes away your free time, for an artist it is just devastating :/

So true!

2 years ago I quit a job I hated and I don't regret it but this new job I have I won't be able to quit so easily because it's a job in the place I've always wanted to work at. I just have the lowest position there at the moment because I've just started. If I quit they'll never let me come back. So either I quit or I stay until I get promoted.

I am determined not to stay away from art for too long as I know from experience that it is indeed destructive. I think it will be a lot less hectic at work in about a month. I will hopefully have time to draw and make videos again. There's so many things I'm planning to draw! So many art projects I want to share!

See you!
