This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hello, whoever you are. I use this deviant art only to post the results of my speed drawing videos from my youtube account: [link] I can't even figure out how to use DeviantArt properly so come to my Youtube if you want to talk! Bye!
I started a new job a month ago and it is the most time-consuming thing I've ever had to do. I've been at my desk for 10 hours so far. And I still have to put in about 4 hours of work before I can call it a day. I wouldn't mind this so much if I still had time to draw and write but sadly I can't do any of these things. I get work-related calls till 10pm even during the week-end! I have no life anymore! To think I used to post 4 Youtube videos a month! Now I'm lucky if I can post one a month! I didn't have the time to make one last month.
I'm actually thinking about quitting this job because the last job I had also prevented me from making art and that got me into a depression 2 years ago. And I have learnt my lesson! The job does pay well though and sadly we live in a world where money is essential. How would I pay the rent? Or my tablet? Or my food?
I hope your life is better than mine at the moment and that you have plenty of time to do the things you love!
I'm so sorry to hear that Money is important, but it is more important to enjoy your work, or at least have few days off. What is your payment worth, when you always will complain the way you earned it? I would say if you don't like your work - definitely quit it. Few years ago I was in the same situation, I worked for about 3 months, 9 hours a day, 7 days a week. I had no free weekends, during those months I had only few days off (which I spent sleeping all day long), I had to wake up at 5am every morning, it took me 2 hours to get to my job, I used to get back home around 7-8pm, and go to sleep around 10pm. I completely had no life, and during those months I didn't have strength or a free minute to even sketch something. It's so awful, and all the money that I earned, is long time gone and all I remember is all that awful time that I had. It is not worth it to sacrifice yourself for a job that takes away your free time. There are better jobs out there, you just have to search. I wish you best of luck, let me know how everything goes
Well, and about me, I'm still having the same job, still illustrating stuff. Recently I was contacted by another book publishing company, and we made a contract to work together. So now I'm working with two companies that publishes books but with that, comes more work to do, and these days were very busy.
I just really hope you will be ok, not having the right job, especially the one that takes away your free time, for an artist it is just devastating :/
What is your payment worth, when you always will complain the way you earned it?
So true!
2 years ago I quit a job I hated and I don't regret it but this new job I have I won't be able to quit so easily because it's a job in the place I've always wanted to work at. I just have the lowest position there at the moment because I've just started. If I quit they'll never let me come back. So either I quit or I stay until I get promoted.
I am determined not to stay away from art for too long as I know from experience that it is indeed destructive. I think it will be a lot less hectic at work in about a month. I will hopefully have time to draw and make videos again. There's so many things I'm planning to draw! So many art projects I want to share!
Ooh, you. Thank you very much for adding the new account to your deviantwatch and supporting us. Also, thank you very much for making a tribute to Hali c: It's very kind of you.
Thank YOU for coming back! I was (he)artbroken when I saw all of Hali's accounts were down. Also, nice to be able to put a name on "Homicical Hecate". I do hope she gets to see my tribute some time.
Heh, you're quite welcome. I'm just doing my best to look out for Hali and keep everything in order. ^^ Ah, her artwork is quite wonderful, isn't it? It'll all be re-uploaded within the next few days, so nothing to worry about on that part. Hali herself will be back within at least a month or about five at most. So, no worries.
Also, of course she'll get to see it c: As soon as she's back, I'll be sure to send it over to her c:
In the meantime though, you'll find me kicking around here and managing things. For the most part, I'll just be posting journal entries on things, managing everybody who enjoys her artwork, and I'll likely slap some of my writing up in a little side folder just to keep it in one place.
hi! I'm a big fan of yours! I commented earlier on you're youtube video, about the champions of anime. :3 I think you are really talented, and that you shouldn't stop anime. A long time ago, I tried desperately, but could never get it right, and almost quit. But, with a little help, I was able to finally achieve it, and am now making my own manga! please, never stop doing something because you think you're not good at it. If everybody did that, then nothing would ever be accomplished. Thank you, and goodbye.
