Alex Day's single Lady Godiva will be out April 1st 2012.
This is my artsy way of saying good luck to you Alex!

I think I managed to pull off that shades-of-grey background. However, on the whole, the poster didn't turn out as good as I hoped but then again I'm always hoping for the Moon! So I guess I'm halfway in the middle, drifting in the cold starry abyss of space.

As always, I tried to create something unexpected : a woman on a horse would have been too unoriginal, so I thought I'd draw all of the characters Alex plays in the video.
I also tried to enrich the poster by turning it into something "multi-referential". In other words it doesn't only reference The Lady Godiva video - that would have been enough, but why stop at that? So I also summoned his former efforts, namely The Sons of Admirals and Forever Yours, along with his Youtube username, in order to create some kind of an Alex Day panorama. I tried to sneak "Chameleon Circuit" in there but I eventually decided that the Nerimon graffiti on the hoodie was enough writing for the background. I didn't want to overdo it.

Oh and portraits are still not my forte so I wasn't aiming for stunning likeness!
